Mackenzie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works to create a relaxing, safe, and trusting atmosphere with her clients. As a yoga instructor, she works with clients to deepen their connection to their mind, body and spirit. She finds mindfulness and breath work invaluable in her work. Mackenzie honors that her clients are the experts of themselves and works collaboratively with them. She comes from a strengths-based and client centered orientation, and specializes in psychedelic assisted psychotherapy.
Mackenzie obtained her Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Religious Studies from the College of William and Mary in 2017 and earned her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University in 2019. Mackenzie has worked in various settings, including: inpatient and partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, eating disorder units, private practice, as well as with a psychiatrist’s office. Her work has focused on individuals who struggle, are in frequent crisis, and those with significant trauma.
Mackenzie is excited to be a part of Revitalist because it provides evidence-based and positive treatment outcomes for clients, combining the best in medicine with the best in mental health (in her opinion). In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, physical fitness, spending time outside, taking care of her houseplants, traveling with her husband, and volunteering at her church. She thoroughly enjoys quality time with her family and friends.
